The Dy. Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS, held a comprehensive visit of the border area of district Kathua along-with SSP Kathua Mohita Sharma (IPS), SP OPS (Kandi & Border) Kathua Mukund (IPS), and other officers. Security review of these areas was conducted by DIG JSK Range, who met with Police officials, VDG members in the sensitive area. All the Officers/officials were instructed to maintain alertness and professionalism while performing duties on the naka points near the border area and other vulnerable points, and briefed on the sensitivity of their duty, and they were directed to remain extra vigilant on their points।
Moreover, all the officers were directed to strengthen all the nakas, especially during night hours. The DIG JSK Range also emphasized the need for enhanced surveillance of anti-social and anti-national elements along the border area. During his visit, DIG JSK Range also met with BSF authorities for better coordination as a part of the Border Management System and discussed various security-related issues and imparted necessary directions regarding the establishment of joint nakas for better results. He also distributed sweets among jawans in view of the ongoing and forthcoming festivals and boosted the morale of the Jawans.
