A video that recently started circulating on social media platforms offers a rare glimpse into the process. The viral clip shows how train coaches are assembled inside a large rail manufacturing factory, sparking curiosity.

The video, shared on Instagram by a user named @karannzzz, takes viewers on a tour of a railway manufacturing facility. The man initially describes the location, saying, “You may have travelled on trains like Vande Bharat, but today I’ll show you where they are made. Come, take a look.” He next proceeds to show different stages of train coach manufacturing inside the factory in Chennai.

Workers spotted doing technical work on train coaches
In one of the frames, a railway coach is spotted standing on tracks inside a large workshop, while other workers are seated beneath the coach, working carefully on the mechanical components and fittings. The video shows the detailed technical work that goes into building each coach before it is put into operation.

The viral clip also shows the interior of an under-construction coach, which appears as a long metal frame. In another scene, the rear section of a coach is shown parked on tracks inside the large facility.
The caption posted along with the video reveals that the premium trains are built at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. “Indian trains are made here. Got a special chance to see the ICF in Chennai where trains like Vande Bharat Express are made. Have you ever seen a place where trains, cars, bikes or airplanes are made?” the caption reads.
