Netflix and Shondaland have announced that Bridgerton Season 5 is now in production. The new season will focus on Francesca Stirling, played by Hannah Dodd, as she navigates life two years after losing her husband, John. She returns to society and considers remarriage for practical reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eight episode fifth season of the Regency era show has begun filming in the UK, Netflix said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Two years after losing her beloved husband, John, Fran decides to reenter the marriage mart for practical reasons. But when John’s cousin Michaela (Masali Baduza) returns to London to tend to the Kilmartin estate, Fran’s complicated feelings will have her questioning whether to stick to her pragmatic intentions or pursue her inner passions,” read the official logline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
