Recently, News24 got the chance to witness in person how these industries plan to harness future growth. BKT Tyres a leading manufacturer shared with us its outlook on its future prospects. During the event, we also had the opportunity to hold a conversation with Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director, and Satish Sharma, Senior President and Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While trying to gauge how the company plans to move forward, we asked: \u201cUnder Vision 2030, the company has set a revenue target of \u20b923,000 crore. What role will off-highway and on-highway tyres play in achieving this goal?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs we have outlined earlier, nearly 70% of the \u20b923,000-crore Vision 2030 target will come from the off-highway tyre business, while around 20% will be driven by the on-road tyre segment. The remaining 10% contribution is expected from our third vertical\u2014carbon black.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BKT recently launched the ZenOV and Theros tyres. What engineering improvements or innovations set these products apart?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
**\u201cWhen we interacted with customers in the two-wheeler segment, we realised that there hasn\u2019t been significant innovation in the category for several years. While the existing products in the market are good, there has been little change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, apart from the core requirements such as mileage and durability, we focused on improving ride comfort and enhancing the style quotient. These two modern features were incorporated after closely listening to the voice of the customer.\u201d**<\/p>\n\n\n\n
