As the daughter of the legendary Ric Flair, there is already a great deal of pressure on her shoulders, and the added scrutiny of the fans only serves to make things more difficult for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last Friday, the 39-year-old superstar suffered a setback in a very important Triple Threat Elimination Chamber qualifying match when Kiana James took advantage of an opportunity, sliding into the ring to roll Flair up for a surprise pinfall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a virtual conversation with Doug Bopst on The Adversity Advantage Podcast, Flair candidly discussed her internal struggles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“More self-sabotage I\u2019m trying\u2026 or what is like impostor syndrome. Instead of worrying about worst case scenario I should be worrying about best case scenario. And it\u2019s easier to worry about the things that can go wrong instead of the things that could go right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So really in the last year I\u2019ve really tried to be like this could go right in so many different ways instead of this could go wrong \u2014 instead of worrying about like doing the opposite.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Well, I definitely put pressure, but I think it\u2019s just showing up regardless whether you feel like it or you don\u2019t feel like it. Whether you feel ready or don\u2019t ready, you just have to show up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that\u2019s what I do day in day out. Like even with different things that I want to approach or try or talk about \u2014 like even if I don\u2019t know, just show up.
