Delhi traffic advisory: In view of the upcoming AI Impact Summit 2026, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory outlining major restrictions and diversions. The five-day high-profile event will be held at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20. Several Heads of State and Government, senior delegates from invited nations, ministers, and leaders of international organisations are expected to participate in the summit.
Commuters must avoid the mentioned routes and plan their journey accordingly to avoid inconvenience. To ensure hassle-free movement, the Delhi Police has said, “Essential services, including medical emergency vehicles, will be provided with uninterrupted access with priority passage. The general public will be facilitated through designated alternate routes and transport modes.”
Roads to be avoided
Commuters must avoid the following mentioned stretches: Mathura Road (from Subramania Bharti Marg T-Point to Lodhi Road Flyover), Rajesh Pilot Marg, Janpath, Teen Murti Marg, Prithviraj Road, Mother Teresa Crescent, Akbar Road, Tees January Marg, Satya Marg, Sardar Patel Marg, C-Hexagon, Ashoka Road, Firoze Shah Road, Sher Shah Suri Marg, APJ Abdul Kalam Road, Shanti Path, Ring Road between Brar Square to AIIMS, Africa Avenue (Bhikaji Cama Place to R/A Yashwant Place), Dr Zakir Hussain Marg, Kemal Ataturk Marg, Central Spine road, Kautilya Marg, Sikander Road, Northern Access Road, Bhagwan Das Road, Purana Quila Road, Tilka Marg, Nila Gumbad, Cariappa Marg up to Kirby Place, Safdarjung Road, Kartavya Path, Outer Circle CP, Rafi Marg, Dwarka Link Road, Aurobindo Marg (AIIMS U-Turn to Aurobindo Marg), Sansad Marg, Thimayya Road, Tughlak Road, Rao Tula Ram Marg, Panchsheel Marg, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Ulaan Batar Marg, AFS Palam Road, NH-48 from Rangpuri to Dhaula Kuan, Panchkuian Road, Parade Road, Hoshiyar Singh Marg, San Martin Marg, Nyaya Marg Brig

Traffic regulations and diversion points
Vehicles not heading to Delhi will be rerouted to the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways and other alternate routes. However, passengers going to airports and railway stations will be allowed entry.
Suggested North-South Corridor
Commuters and the general public can use the following corridors to reach their respective destinations: Ring Road – Ashram Chowk – Sarai Kale Khan – Raj Ghat – ISBT Kashmiri Gate – Azadpur – Punjabi Bagh – Dhaula Kuan – AIIMS – Ashram Chowk.

New Delhi Railway Station: ISBT Kashmiri Gate – Boulevard Road – Rani Jhansi Marg – DBG Road – Ashram Chowk – Ring Road – Raj Ghat – U Turn – Vande Mataram Marg – Dr. Ambedkar Marg – Panchkuian Road – Outer Circle – Connaught Place.
Old Delhi Railway Station: ISBT Kashmiri Gate – Ring Road – Hanuman Mandir – S.P. Mukherjee Marg / Ashram Chowk – Ring Road – Raj Ghat – Ring Road – Hanuman Mandir – S.P. Mukherjee Marg – Vande Mataram Marg – Dr. Ambedkar Marg – Rani Jhansi Marg – Rani Jhansi Road – Flyover – Boulevard Road – Lothian Marg.
Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station: AIIMS – Ring Road – Ashram Chowk – Mathura Road – ISBT Kashmiri Gate – Ring Road – Raj Ghat – Ring Road – Ashram Chowk – Mathura Road.

Metro Rail service shall remain available for commuters at all stations

18Ba Taxis may not be allowed to be parked on the roads except in designated parking places, and the necessary diversions may be given during the VIP movements.
Motorists and the general public are requested to follow traffic rules and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed at intersections.
