Team India won the T20 World Cup after defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue were dominant throughout the match and the win was powered by team’s exceptional batting performance led by Sanju Samson who scored match-winning knock of 89 runs. In the bowling front, Jasprit Bumrah wrecked havoc and took 4 wickets to completely dismantle New Zealand’s batting lineup.
This is the first time any team has defended their T20 World Cup title. Following this win, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia announced that a cash prize of INR 131 crore will be given to Team India for their exceptional win in T20 World Cup.

India lifted the prestigious trophy after defeating New Zealand in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, successfully defending the title and becoming the first team in the history of the tournament to retain the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. With this victory, India also became the first team to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup three times, further cementing their place among the most successful teams in the history of the format.
