Dhurandhar 2 online links have been circulating on the internet right after Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s movie was released for paid-previews. Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been officially released in cinemas today, March 19. However there are several links going viral on the internet claiming to have the Dhurandhar 2 HD print download ready. Seeing the popularity of Dhurandhar 2 as an opportunity, fraudsters are using the movie’s name to steal your money and personal information.
In one of the messages received by my close friend, scammers are deceiving WhatsApp users by sending phishing links that prey on the excitement surrounding Dhurandhar 2 release, all with the sole intention of tricking people and stealing their hard-earned money and sensitive personal data.
‘Dhurandhar 2 HD online download free torrent, click on the link below’ the message on WhatsApp reads. Luckily WhatsApp flagged the message and it was fraudulent.
How does the scam work?
On further investigation it was found out that the link redirects users to a website where they need to enter their personal information including email ID, phone number and password to get access to the ‘non-existing’ downloadable Dhurandhar 2 movie.
The fake website also had pop-ups showing links to watch Dhurandhar 2 in cinemas at just Rs 21. A fake offer that is made to steal money and credit/debut card information from the people falling into this trap.
How to stay safe
First of all, piracy is illegal and downloading movies like this can land you in big trouble. To stay safe from such frauds, you should never share your banking details with anyone, especially online without receiving the link from an unverified source. Before opening any website, you should read the URL carefully and also keep an eye for suspicious extensions.
